JYJ’s ‘The Beginning’ has sold over 520,000 albums in pre-order sales

It was recently reported that the trio JYJ have already received 520,000 album pre-orders for their new album, ‘The Beginning’.

On October 14th, JYJ’s album distributors, Warner Music Korea, revealed, “Out of the limited number of 99,999 special albums we produced, we have received over 300,000 pre-orders for their special album, and 220,000 for their regular album. Because of this, it has been taking some time trying to coordinate the demand and supply to various stores. Today will be the first time the album will be on sale for the fans, while the special album will be released later on the [October] 18th.”

Warner Music Korea expressed, “With 520,000 albums sold just through pre-orders, JYJ’s ‘The Beginning’ has so far become the best sold album this year, and many are expecting this to revitalize the depression of album sales.”

Lastly, they added, “We were able to feel the explosive interest from fans, after receiving three times more album pre-orders for their special album than the original quantity we produced. We will soon be exploring more ways for purchasing their special album, especially for those fans who have not been able to get hold of them.”

Jessica’s legs receive much attention

SNSD/Girls Generation is once again being praised for their gorgeous legs, as a picture withJessica’s legs exposed is receiving explosive attention.

Singer and former member of girl group Fin.KL, Ok Ju Hyun, is known to be close friends with Jessica, and recently uploaded a picture of her on her official twitter.

Jessica is seen in a very casual look, sporting sunglasses with her hair tied back. She’s also seen without high heels, which are thought to be essential for girl group members, as many look stumpy without them.

However, netizens have noticed that even without high heels, Jessica’s legs remain slender, which is the form that most Korean girls would like to have.

Fans left comments such as, “She is really slender.”, “Even without high heels, her legs keep its shape.”, “Her everyday look is so cute.”

On another note, a twitter account with the name of  ‘Suyeon Jung(jess_syj)‘ is speculated to be Jessica’s real account, as interactions with various celebrities have been made with it. There is also a fair amount of followers.

There are currently no official twitter accounts for any of the SNSD members.

Sulli voted as cutest girl group maknae member

In a battle between miss A’s Suzy and f(x)’s Sulli for the title of cutest girl group maknae, Sulli managed to capture the hearts of netizens in a survey held by Star News ,which asked, “Who’s cuter? Girl group maknae battle,” on Style M.

The poll ended on October 15th with a total of 1,093,156 participants. Results revealed that 68% of the netizens voted for Sulli.

Sulli is currently the group maknae, along with Krystal, in f(x), while Suzy is earning the love of fans as miss A’s maknae. Both members represent “cuteness” in their respective groups, an important role in helping the group earn more popularity.

With the rise of girl groups and the emergence of different styles and concepts, many believe that the cute role of the maknaes is the best role of all. Most often, these maknaes hold the most popularity in their groups as well. SNSD’s Seohyun, Wonder Girls‘ Sohee, and KARA’s Kang Ji Young all hold a considerable amount of popularity over their unnies, showing the strength of maknaes.

Shoujo Jidai (SNSD)’s “GENIE” is certified ‘Gold’ by RIAJ

With their second Japanese single “Gee” priming to take Japan by storm in less than a week, the girls of Shoujo Jidai (SNSD) are celebrating their latest success. Their debut Japanese single, “GENIE“, has been certified ‘Gold’ by the RIAJ for shipping over 100,000 copies in the month of September.

According to Oricon, the single has sold 88,735 copies so far, and is #62 on the year-end charts, which is up there with the likes of Namie Amuro (“Break It/Get Myself Back” at #63) and Koda Kumi (“Gossip Candy” at #64)! The Oricon year still has a few weeks to go, so this isn’t their final position – but fear not, SNSD fans! “GENIE” is still hanging on: it can be spotted on the charts at its latest daily position of #22 (as of October 13th).

YG Entertainment to hold “2010 YG FAMILY CONCERT”

YG Entertainment has got some exciting news for ya’ll! The YG Family will be coming together to perform a special two-day concert at the end of their year for their devoted fans. An official statement from the crew reveals, ”We will be holding the ‘2010 YG FAMILY CONCERT‘ on December 4th and 5th at the Seoul Olympic athletic stadium.”

The YG Family has held their “ONE CONCERT” every year since 2003, however fans were left highly disappointed when the concert wasn’t held back in 2008 and in 2009. Being the first concert in three years, YGE will be bringing together their hottest stars - 2NE1, Gummy, Se7en, and Big Bang. PSYwill also be joining them on stage as the newest family member.

2NE1 has consistently expressed their wish for a concert this year, and it seems as if it’s finally coming true. Big Bang also commented, “We’re extremely excited at the thought of being able to meet our fans after such a long absence.”

The two-day concert will seat a 36,000 member audience, and tickets start selling on October 21st at 8:00PM through Gmarket.

KARA’s Goo Hara and Wonder Girls’ Sunmi were childhood BFFs?

A past childhood photo of KARA’s Goo Hara and Wonder Girls’ Sunmi together at an amusementpark has caught on interest as of recent.

In the photo, you can see the two girls at a children’s amusement park with two other boys, cutely posing for the camera. The exact time of when the photo was taken is still unknown, however by the looks of the photo, the girls look like they were in elementary/middle school.

This photo was originally uploaded on a fan club open board back in 2009, but had only just recently caught on with the general public.

It is also well known amongst the fans of KARA and the Wonder Girls’ that the 91′er Goo Hara and 92′er Sunmi have always had a close unnie/dongsaeng friendship with each other.

Both girls auditioned for the ‘SM Best Teenagers Contest’ back in 2005, where they both reached to the finals in the ‘Best Image’ category. They remained as close friends even after Sunmi entered JYPEas a trainee.

Netizens who saw this picture commented with, “I think both would have been popular when they were younger”, “Both of them look so young”, “Two pretty babies getting along together…”, “It’s such an old photo, but to see them together is surprising.”

Jo Kwon gives Ga-In a 380 carat diamond ring

2AM’s Jo Kwon recently presented Brown Eyed Girls’ Ga-In with a ridiculously enormous ring.

On October 10th, the lyricist of Ga-In’s “Irreversible”, Kim Eana, uploaded the picture on her Twitter, and also added, “Ga-In received a 380 carat diamond. The man who gave Ga-In this gift, I thought he’d make some sort of havoc but instead this happens.”

It seems like Jo Kwon, who had promised Ga-In that he would give her a big present if she received the 1st place award, found her at the ‘Inkigayo’ recording site to gift her the big diamond (?) ring.

In the three pictures, Ga-In is seen letting out her hand to show off her enormous ring, as well as posing a shy and flustered look. Meanwhile, Jo Kwon is pointing at the ring, with a cheesy grin.

Fans who came across this picture showed a hot response with comments such as, “Of course the Adam couple, I don’t think this is a fake couple”, “Jo Kwon-Ga-In, both of you are cute”, “I wish you could stand together on stage.”
